This is a compact, stylish, and fully functional cigarette storage box designed and manufactured using a CO2 100W laser cutting machine. The box will be tailor-made for keeping cigarettes for the purpose of safe storage and maintaining a sleek, modern look. It opens up just like a flip-book, revealing secure compartments for cigarettes, a lighter, and other small accessories. This project is simple for beginners yet professional enough for advanced makers desiring clean, accurate laser-cut parts. With the perfect combination of MDF material and precision cutting, the final product will be strong, durable, and pleasing to the eye.
Material and Thickness: This project is made using 3.2mm MDF because of its lightweight, ease of cutting, and suitability for creating tight-fitting joints. MDF yields a good surface that can either be painted or left natural, depending on the user’s preference. Its density makes it reliable for small boxes, delivering performance that will last even with daily use.
Laser Cutting Settings: All the components of this cigarette box are cut using the CO2 100W laser cutting machine. for this cutting we use Lightburn Software and the settings used while cutting were:
- Speed: 15mm/s
- Power: 40%
These settings give a clean, burn-free cut while maintaining the shape and accuracy in the design. The edges are smooth, and the joints perfectly fit without any extra sanding or adjustments. These settings work efficiently for 3.2mm MDF sheets, ensuring consistent quality throughout the cutting process.
Design & Assembly Process: The cigarette box has interlocking tabs and slots for easy assembly with no screws or nails. Each piece is precisely cut to be perfectly fitted together. Accordingly, inner sections have a slot dedicated to storing multiple cigarettes and a separate compartment for a lighter or any other essentials. Assembly can easily be done using UHU glue or any strong wood adhesive. The lid opens like a small notebook for easy access to the contents inside. It will be compact, solid, and ready to use in its final assembly.
Uses & Customization: This laser-cut cigarette box is ideal for personal use, gifting, or selling in craft markets. Makers can create customized engravings of names, patterns, or logos. Adding color acrylic sheets would make it look more premium.
