This gift box is precision-cut using a CO2 100-watt laser cutting machine. For this project, we used 3mm MDF, which is ideal for laser cutting due to its smooth surface and consistent thickness. We chose white because this box has engraving, so we decided on this color. The laser machine was set to a cutting speed of 15 mm/s with 30% power, providing sharp cuts without excessive burning or charring. All decorative patterns, slots, and lock-system components were cut in a single run, ensuring perfect alignment during assembly. The laser-cut design includes ornamental engravings and functional joints that allow the box to assemble smoothly without forcing any parts.

Assembly Process: After cutting, all parts were carefully removed from the MDF sheet and lightly cleaned. The box features a smart lock system, which allows the parts to interlock securely and maintain shape during assembly. This design improves strength and reduces the need for excessive adhesive. Assembly starts by joining the base and side panels using the pre-cut slots. Once aligned, UHU Glue is applied sparingly at the joints to ensure durability and a clean finish. The lid and locking mechanism are assembled last, ensuring smooth opening and closing functionality.
Final Finish & Usage: Once fully assembled, the gift box has a sturdy structure with an elegant laser-cut appearance. It can be used as a premium gift box, decorative storage box, or custom packaging solution. The MDF surface can also be painted, laminated, or engraved further for personalization. This laser-cut lock-system gift box is a perfect example of precision cutting and efficient assembly, combining beauty with functionality.
