Project Background
This GR logo was created as a custom replacement badge for a Jeep. One of my friends lost the original GR logo from his Jeep, so he asked us to remake it exactly as the original design. Our goal was to match the size, shape, colors, and layered look as closely as possible so it would look factory-made once installed on the vehicle.
Original-Look Acrylic Materials
To achieve an authentic finish, we carefully selected the acrylic materials. The top layer is made from 1.2 mm silver acrylic, chosen to match the original metallic silver appearance of the Jeep GR logo. For the background and color contrast, 3 mm red and black acrylic was used, which gives strong color depth and durability. The logo is mounted on a 3 mm black acrylic base, providing strength and a clean, solid backing.

- Acrylic: Black and Red 3mm
- Silver Acrylic 1.2mm
Cutting Details:
- Machine: 100W CO2 Laser Cutting
- Acrylic 3mm: Speed 15mm/s and Power: 50%
- 1.2mm Acrylic: Speed 30mm/s and Power 30%
Precision Laser Cutting
All parts of the logo were cut using a CO2 laser cutting machine, ensuring accurate dimensions and sharp edges. Laser cutting allowed us to replicate the original logo shape with high precision, including fine curves and lettering details. Each layer fits perfectly with the others, maintaining proper alignment and spacing.
Layered 3D Construction
The layered acrylic design gives the logo a raised 3D effect, similar to the original Jeep badge. This layered build not only improves visual appeal but also increases durability for vehicle use.
